Okay, a lot of people have asked me about the Holiday issue. Here it goes:
I do not celebrate holidays that I find have no merit to the nature of my spirit or the spirit of those around me.
Holidays are man-made traditions, most of which are fraught with consumerism and forced time off from work (read: cessation of productivity).
The only exception is my birthday (April 11th). No, I am NOT a Satanist (though I do share the same birthday as Anton Lavey...how funny is that???)
Of course, I am always open to the opportunity to create an event in step with a season or holiday, because it works for promotional purposes to bring people together to enjoy music!!!
I just do not believe that American society should dictate what I am expected to on certain days of the year. I believe in creating my own traditions.

A grinch!
Of course, you have the right to celebrate anything or nothing, but Thanksgiving? What's the harm in being thankful for what you have?I have the same birthday as you, but must have been born under a different star, because I love celebrations, and to me, Thanksgiving is the best holiday - get together with family & friends, enjoy each other's company, and be thankful for what you have.

...I've always considered my birthday to be a day of mourning and gnashing of teeth...but that's just me, it seems...
